Last Wednesday we made another trip to Williamsport for an appointment with Ron’s orthopedic surgeon regarding getting any new helpful information about his disconnected collarbone. Unfortunately they did not have much to offer. Their next resource is the Hershey Medical Institute. Stay tuned. They fitted him with a sling to keep his arm and shoulder stable when he’s not using it. I’m not sure when that will be… Also, I’ve decided we are going more forceful on the homeopathic route with vitamins, minerals, and topical treatments. After being married almost 34 years, he’s a pretty good patient when I’m giving orders.
Speaking of doctor visits, Ron and I are absolutely devastated over the closing of the Arnot Health Services office in Canton which is run by Dr. John Kirkowski and his staff. We absolutely love him – trust him with our lives, and have for over 3 decades. We’re not sure what we’re going to do, because right now we’re just downright too darn mad about the whole thing! I commend the folks that wrote the letter to the editor in the Canton Sentinel regarding the closing – it was 100 percent on target and certainly conveyed the feelings of most everyone involved, including us. We can only hope it does some good.
The almanac is telling me that it is about time to do some spring pruning. Are you kidding me? I can’t even find my few rose bushes and flowering shrubs buried under crusty snow. I think I’ll wait until our friend Fred tells us that “the sap is running!” Now, THAT means spring and we’ll do some prunin’.

Food for thought: The most disappointed people in the world are those who get what is coming to them.
