Hardly any news this morning. Charlotte Tillotson had a note in the mailbox. She reported that she spent the weekend with her son Jim and Sue Tillotson and their family in Muncy, PA where they celebrated her birthday the whole time with a party and lots of meals out. She commented that it was a wonderful weekend.
A number of residents gathered in the community room here on Friday to hear Jerrod Nolan talk about the eye disease, glaucoma and then check their eyes for symptoms of the problem.
Attendance at the popular Coffee Hour on Thursday grew quite a bit this last week. Twelve residents were present to enjoy the chat time and enjoy the delicious treats that were provided.
Irma Earley was working on a puzzle when I saw her earlier. irma said that she was out and about last Thursday for a doctor's appointment and to attend the first Lenten Luncheon with her daughters, Debbie Elliot and Maxine Shedden at the Canton Ecumenical Church.
Although it was still bitter cold, Irma and her daughter Debbie visited, Irma's brother Paul Machmer Sr. at Twin Oaks on Friday.
Due to the snow and cold, Irma reported that she didn't attend church services or go out to eat o Sunday. Her daughter Maxine and Susan Shedden paid her a visit in the afternoon however.
I called my son, Ralph Lepper to pick me up for Mass on Sunday, so I didn't have to clean the snow off my car That way I got to ride in his brand new truck, also. Very nice!
