Sometimes I think that there are more Mondays on "The Ridge" than in other areas. At least it seems that way to me.
It was rather quiet around here as I was out and about checking for news earlier. I did find an item in the Mailbox which I appreciated.
Kathy Temple wrote that she spent Saturday with her sister, Bonnie Vanemon in Towanda at the Boy Scout Spring Advancement Fair.
On Sunday, Kathie reported that after attending Church services she went to dinner in Mansfield with her sister Bonnie and Andy Vanemon.
Monday, she spent the morning getting Easter cards ready to mail.
I took time out to have breakfast with my great granddaughter Emiley DeCristo. Her grandparents Raph and Judy Lepper, Wendy Lepper and Jeannette May this morning at Kelley's Creek Side Restaurant. Emiley is moving to Georgia next week. We wanted to spend some time with her before she leaves.
I managed to make it to the popular Coffee Hour on Thursday this past week. Nine residents were there for the chat time with friends and neighbors.
Jeannette May said that she had a nice mother/daughter day with her daughter Barby Matthews this last week. They were celebrating Barb's March birthday having lunch and doing some shopping in Elmira, NY.
When I saw Arlene Quail this morning, she reported that she and Roxie Holmes attended the Lenten Luncheon at the Ecumenical Church, Tuesday.
My granddaughter Amy DeCristo did come and do some spring cleaning for me last Tuesday. My windows and curtains and other high places are clean for another season, thanks to her.
On Thursday, my granddaughter Kelsey Lepper Hicks with little Alivia Jo came and we had fun making bread . The bread turned out good for Kelsey.
Irma Earley's daughters Maxine Shedden and Debbie Elliot took her to the Lenten Luncheon, Tuesday.
On Friday, Debbie Elliot drove her mother, Irma to Granville Summit for a visit with her brother Paul Machmer who resides at Twin Oaks.
Irma attended Palm Sunday services at the Ward Church before enjoying lunch at the Iron Skillet with her daughter Maxine and Dave Shedden.
Jessie Herman said that Jack McNett stopped in on Friday to show her some snapshots taken at the Swayze's picnic years ago.
Eric and Beverly Smith attended "Singspiration" on Palm Sunday at the Garden View Church of Christ.
Thursday, Richard and Barb Kobbe took their mother Frances Kobbe to Williamsport for an appontment with an eye specialist, Dr. Lightman.
Friday, Edward Kobbe took Frances for an appointment with her dermatologist, Dr. Dowd in Williamsport. Afterward Ed treated his mother to lunch at The LeJune Restaurant before doing some shopping at Wegman's Market.
Little Alivia Jo spent some time with me this afternoon while her mom, Kelsey Hicks kept an appointment. She had a good time helping me in the laundry room.
