Bright and sunny looking out over "The Ridge" this Monday morning. It's probably not as warm as it looks, however - we have to remember our sweaters or jackets these days.
It's rather quiet around here today. I've been nosing around for news and haven't seen many folks out and about.
I did stop in to welcome Eric and Beverly Smith who have been moving in here over the weekend and still in the process. We wish them well in all that involves.
A group of eight met in the Community Room for coffee here on Thursday this past week. It's always a good social hour. Kathy Temple and Jackie Wesneski brought some goodies to complement the coffee.
Al and Betty Taylor were here to see the Dr. so it was good to see them. We miss seeing them at the monthly pot luck since Harry and Sandie Jones have moved. They are like part of the community here and we hope they will join us for pot luck again soon.
On Tuesday this last week Irma Earley and her daughter Debbie Elliot called on Janet Segur. They commented that it is always a good visit with her. Later on Tuesday Irma with her daughters Debbie Elliot and Maxine Shedden had lunch together. On Friday Irma and her daughters were at Moose's Munchies in Troy for lunch.
Mary Turner said that she was all over town running errands on Friday. On Sunday Mary reported that she was at her sister Trudy Moyer's home for a delicious ham dinner.
On Saturday Jessie Herman had a visit from Clara May, Will and Amy Rusk, Jessie said that she always enjoys their visits. On Sunday Wade and Dorothy Graham called on Jessie.
Frances Kobbe said it had been a quiet week, but that her daughter Carol Bastion had been at "The Ridge" to have lunch with her a couple days this past week.
LaVonne McNett reported that she attended a baby shower in Springfield for Justini Wolf this weekend. As she returned home LaVonne said that she stopped to visit Lynne Humber in Sylvania.
My sister, Jeannette May called me a while ago. She said that the wedding was very nice on Saturday even though they had cold temps in Florida also. Jeannette commented that they had no phone service where they were so she didn't get my call until too late for a return call. PA's not the only area that has that problem.
My Great-Granddaughter, Alivia stayed with me at her home for an hour or so while her mom took the puppies to the vets for some shots. She's always a fun girl and very busy. She had painted her finger nails along with her fingers a bright pink so we did a do over - of course Gram's polish wasn't as bright and pretty.
Alivia surprised me by wanting to use the stair ways rather than the "Alligator" this time - translated, that's elevator.
I suppose most folks are out casting their votes early this morning. I'm really slow this morning, but I'll make it eventually.
