They wanted to remind everyone that their Christmas Shop will be open soon. You can stop by and get those holiday gifts and cards from 9:00 to 1:30.
Halloween was the theme for the Senior Citizens meeting on October 30th. A few dressed up and paraded around the room to show off their costumes. Some brought candy and other Halloween goodies.
November 15th the Gillett Baptist Church is having a free Thanksgiving dinner open to the public. Saturday, November 22nd, is our Senior-night-out catered by the Wheeler restaurant from Pine City. Everyone who wants to attend must be signed up by next Thursday.
Ray MacAuslan recently visited Orlando, Florida, and he gave a report on some of the sights he experienced at Epcot Center. He said it is well worth visiting if anyone is going to Florida on vacation although the cost is $100 for the day. Everything is free inside except the food after the initial entry fee.
The members decided to go out to breakfast at Wellsburg Diner for their Christmas celebration on Wednesday, December 10th at 9:30. Those needing a ride should meet at the Senior Center at 9 a.m.
Ray lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance and said grace for the luncheon. Mary brought pizza as a birthday celebration for those with birthdays in October. We also had cheese omelet, rissole potatoes, spiced apples and apple sauce cake.
