A walking group was formed and took the first walk of the year around town. Many in the Center were filling eggs with candy in preparation for the children's Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 4th starting at 10:30 a.m. Children from toddlers to ten are welcome to participate.
We have also started donating a dollar each week toward a travel or special events fund.
Several former members have passed away recently and several of our present members are in the hospital. We sent cards to those who are sick and to the families of the deceased.
Nancy Schrader was a visitor today. She is in training to become a leader for the Agency of the Aging.
Next week will be our brown bag auctions. Members are asked to bring something in a brown bag to auction off. On April 16th we will be entertained with a musical program by Maria Locks.
The entertainment today was bingo and the winners were: Lynn Maynard, LaVere Updike, Anna Belle Leonard, Erma Warner, Paul White, Phyllis Ward, Sylvia Roy, Nancy Shrader, and Marge Ulmer.
Before lunch we saluted the American flag and Melba Campbell asked the blessing. The menu was turkey stew on biscuit, parsley potatoes, cherry gelatin and milk.
