A new cycle will begin on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Meetings aim to help those who are grieving find support throughout the grieving process. Whether your grief is recent or from a not so recent loss, we encourage you to come. GriefShare is a great opportunity to learn you are not going crazy after the death of a spouse, family member or friend.
During meetings we watch a video which shows examples of different grieving ways, how to grieve and what to expect throughout the grieving process. Not all people grieve in the same way. It is not mandatory to share, but you have the opportunity to share with others attending if you feel you are able to talk about your experience. Read a gentleman’s experience:
Finally, I was introduced to GriefShare by someone who had suddenly lost his son. He told me how much GriefShare had helped him and his family. Searching for some real answers I bravely went.
The first time through GriefShare I had so many epiphanies my head and heart could not keep up. I quickly learned there are no short cuts to get through the loss of a loved one. We can't rush it; we can't ignore it; we can't go around it. We must fully process grief to fully heal.
The Lord has seen me through some really rough times in my life up until now, so I accepted this "challenge" and faced my grief head-on with my eyes wide open and my feet firmly planted. The answers to all my questions just kept coming and coming. Profound! Finally progress. I was able to process and express my feelings in a healthy way.”
GriefShare is a 13 week video seminar with a workbook to help process the challenges of grieving, the grieving journey and lessons learned from grief.
