I see spring flowers coming out in many of the gardens, already. But Saturday it was cold again; more winter coat weather.
Sunday morning snow with the great big flakes. Sure made it nice to have a place inside to have a beautiful Easter Sunrise service and sit and enjoy watching the nice clean snow collecting while we enjoyed coffee and donuts after the service here at Hillcrest.
Richard led the service with a message from John, Chapter 20, "The empty tomb, alleluia". Christ the Lord is risen today. Communion was served along with some beautiful singing and Jeane Monroe at the piano.
Richard also had the Sunday night service with some more thoughts from John Chapter 20 "Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed". More great singing with Shirley Young at the piano.
Many of our residents enjoyed Easter dinner with family and friends.
Richard and Joyce were able to spend an enjoyable time with brother Miles at the Bradford County Manor, Sunday afternoon.
Pastor John Lattimer called on Richard and Joyce, Wednesday of last week. Thank you Pastor.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Dorando Hoose. She was another long-time resident of Hillcrest. Seems like there has been quite a few this spring so far.
We hope everyone had a blessed Easter, but most of all remember what Easter is all about.
