We certainly want to thank all the people who helped in anyway to make it happen. I won't start by trying to name each of you. You know who you are whether it was a donation of merchandise or time or bringing something old for the rest of us to look at you have our thanks.
I wanted to report that we made history this year by not having any breakdowns during the parade but in keeping with tradition one had to be towed.
I won't name names, my own sometimes needs a little help so I make sure I take a spare and tow rope.
I hope you all enjoyed the flyover by the United State military helicopters. To get three of them took some doing.
My tomato crop is almost gone. I planted six and now have one and that one doesn't look good. I think in wanting to protect them from the frost, I may have smothered them. I can't even find enough of the plant to return to the seller so I will just buy more.
Lets's see what I have learned from the news this past week.
The TSA at airports is useless; we have left unknown numbers of tanks, Hum-vees, and many other weapons behind - now the terrorists have taken them but don't worry we are blowing them up as fast as we find them; and the government wasted only $150 billion on the latest solar powered handout.
I hope the sportscaster Bob Costas is OK. He got so worked up when calling the horse race I though he might suffer some sort of injury. C'mon Bob, it's a horse race.
Is the IRS looking into the Clinton Foundation? One of Hillary's defenders said a $3.5 million mistake on the foundation's income status was not a big deal.
