Do you wonder sometimes about people that you knew in the past? Who they became and how their lives turned out? I do. Social media has helped many of us reconnect with those that we haven’t seen for a long time. Perhaps someone from the past has reached out to you. Either way it is usually a rewarding experience, but not one created out of desperation, just desire. How about those circumstances where those seeking someone else is desperate?
Can you remember a time when you became desperate to find someone? How about when your child is even temporarily lost in a crowd? At those moments we would do ANYTHING to get our child back. Nothing else is more important than finding that child and hugging them like never before, right? (Then maybe you talk to them for not staying close…) I can only imagine what an adopted child and parent who both want to find each other feel when they finally do reunite. Can you?
In most cases, the parent giving their child up loves them very much, even if the child disagrees when they don’t understand why it happened. Yet there is still a longing in that child to know about their parent, to meet them and ask why. We all have a Father in Heaven and He loves us very much. So much that He gave up His OWN Son to die that you might become God’s child. To be, adopted into the family of God. 1 John 4:19 says, “We love because he first loved us.” God may not be searching for you on Facebook, but He did send His Son and His word in the Bible to let you know that He is seeking you and wants you to reunite with Him. Have you answered His post? Something to think about…
Top signs that you are too old to trick or treat: You get winded from knocking on the door. You have to have another kid chew the candy for you. You ask for high fiber candy only. When someone drops a candy bar in your bag, you lose your balance and fall over. People say, "What a scary mask!" but you're not wearing one! When the door opens you yell, "Trick or..." and can't remember the rest. You're the only Power Ranger in the neighborhood with a walker, and by the end of the night, you have a bag full of restraining orders.
