The Bradford County Veterans Association will be holding a Ride for Our Veterans on September 20 with registration starting at 9 and ride at 10 a.m. Bike will assemble in the parking lot at #1 Progress Center, Main Street, north of Rt. 6 at Memorial Bridge. Rider is $20; Passenger, $5.00. All monies raised will benefit the Bradford County Memorial Park. The Canton Football Hall of Fame Committee has announced that Matt Machmer, Dan Shaffer and Jake Shaffer will be the 2015 inductees of the Hall of Fame.
Matt Machmer was a quarterback, running back, defensive back, placekicker and punter from 1988 to 1992. Jake Shaffer was an offensive and defensive tackle from 1977 to 1980. Dan Shaffer was an offensive guard and middle linebacker from 1978 to 1981. On August 18, the Corey Creek Ladies Golf League played "Mutt & Jeff." Players counted net on Par 5s and Par 3s.
