Always entertaining, auctioneer, Ed Pepper, with renowned turkey call maker, Julio Santiago, always brings the crowd to life during the live auction. The proceeds from the banquet support NWTF national, regional, state, and local conservation and education projects. The Spurs provide funding and materials for the development of food plot enhancement on Mt. Pisgah County and State Parks,along with game lands in the Sunfish Pond area.
Additionally, the Spurs have provided financial support to the following local organizations in recent years:
Guthrie Troy Community Hospital, Blue Star Memorial, Troy Fire Dept., Canton Fire Dept., Troy Rod and Gun Club, Canton Rod and Gun Club, Troy Junior Sportsmen, Alparon Park, Bradford County Youth Field Days, Women in the Wild, Troy Sale Barn, Allen Pierce Library, Green Free Library, Troy School District's Archery in the schools program, and an annual scholarship to a deserving high school senior.
