If Bradford County continues to experience few new COVID19 cases and deaths, we will expand access to the library, its resources, and programs starting in early July. Meanwhile, we are laboring like gardeners in the Spring - cleaning up, weeding, and in general, working to insure we look our best and can offer you a colorful assortment of good reads.
You might not realize that libraries need to weed out books as much as you need to remove the weeds in your garden, and for much the same reason. Weeds in a library are books on the shelf that have not been checked out in years. Like garden weeds, they take up room, consume resources, make things look unkempt, and don’t produce the pleasure you expect from the more attractive flowers and plants.
Remember, “A book is like a garden carried in the pocket.”—Chinese proverb. Hope to see you in the library soon.
