On Saturdays, the library will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., except during the summer (end of school term to beginning of next school term) when the hours will be 8 a.m. to noon. Our restrictive current operating procedures will remain in place for now, but we hope to announce less restrictive measures, and resumption of certain activities and services very soon. Thank you for your patience and patronage.
In case you missed the announcement, our Adult Book Club meets July 14 at 7 p.m. at the library (outdoors if weather permits.) The book for discussion will be “Barracoon” by Zora Neale Hurston
BrightStar Theater will host “Once Upon A Time” performances on June 30 and July 2. Storyteller Fiona Siobhan Powell will bring traditional folk tales of the British Isles in a workshop for ages 14 and above on July 7 and July 9.
We’ll be using the ZOOM app for these events. For ZOOM events you will need to have downloaded their app and registered in order to participate. Call the library at 570.297-2745 for help getting registered.
We reopened Monday, May 18! To do so, we’ve had to establish COVID10 protocols to help insure your, and our staff’s safety. Hopefully, we can soon return to full, “normal” operations. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you again.
Libraries will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no libraries. —Anne Herbert, Author
