Alleshia is a 2006 graduate of Troy High School and Northern Tier Career Center, a licensed cosmetologist and is employed by Looks Hair Design in downtown State College. Curtis is a 2004 graduate of Troy High School, served four years in the United States Navy, is attending Penn State University and currently completing an internship with Chevron in Houston, TX. A fall 2016 wedding is being planned, when two hearts become one. ![]() Nine members of the Village Improvement Association met at McCallum Manor for their annual picnic and meeting, June 4th. After the invocation offered by Kathy Lepper, the members enjoyed the meal before President Marie O'Hara opened the business meeting. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and the recitation of the Association's Collect started the meeting. The minutes of the last meeting and the treasurer's reports were given and approved. The Canton Fireman's Fair will be held nightly from Tuesday July 7th through Saturday July 11th. As last year, admission will be a donation at the gate. Ride tickets and wristbands will be available for purchase. Tuesday will be $1.00 Ride Night. They are the children of the late Harry and Elaine Gardner. Their mother was a great piano player and well known in the area. Their music is filled with inspiration as they love to sing. They enjoy music for its message of hope, salvation, and its pleasant harmonies. It is their hope that they can bring God's message to people in the form of worshipping Christ through music. Their wish is that people who listen will be touched and that they may reach someone who has NOT been touched before or needs a renewal of their faith. LeRoy Old Home Day will start off with a 5k run on July 4th. Registration will be from 8:00 to 9:15 a.m. with the race starting at 9:30. Another scam using the telephone has been reported to us. The caller says he will deposit money in the person's account - all he needs is the account number, and $300. Warning: Do not disclose personal information over the phone or email; and be extremely suspicious of unsolicited calls claiming to be giving money away.
