WYSOX — Bradford County Commissioner Doug McLinko is hosting two events this weekend, on July 10 and 11 at his home in Wysox.
Rally to Save the Republic
The first event will take place on Saturday, July 10. Rally to Save the Republic Grassroots PA Unite will begin after the National Anthem at 11 a.m. that morning.
Please come early and the event will be rain or shine with large tent cover provided.
The event is sponsored by Stephen K. Bannon and Warroom Pandemic one of the nations largest podcasts and live TV shows. Bannon was Chief Strategist to President Trump.
McLinko says the purpose of the event is to Unite Grassroots from all across the commonwealth to save the Republic.
“People are mad about what took place in our election,” said McLinko. “The mess that it was, created in Pennsylvania, through Act 77 which was done before COVID, in many counties across PA. In my opinion, it was unconstitutional. They damaged our voting in Pennsylvania, which is the bedrock of the commonwealth and our Republic.”
Pennsylvania’s Act 77 deals with election code changes that dealt with mail-in voting. According to the governor’s office, The law creates a new option to vote by mail up to 50 days before an election and be placed on a list to permanently receive a ballot application by mail.
“There are organizations in Pennsylvania that have come together in outrage over what the state legislature has done,” McLinko said.
He went on to say the event is not about overturning the election, but rather, to give updates what is happening across Pennsylvania and America. It will also inform on changes that should be made within our state’s government that do not follow the Constitution or represent the rural areas of Pennsylvania and other parts of the country.
“Four questions were put on the ballot this May and no one knew what they were. They couldn’t ask the voters in a constitutional question on the ballot if they wanted the changes to our election law?”
McLinko also invited speakers from Georgia, and Arizona, both states that also had voting controversies in the 2020 election.
Stephen K. Bannon of warroom.org, will also be the keynote speaker in the event. Hosting the event will be Sam Faddis retired CIA officer.
Gates will open at 9 a.m. with speakers starting after the National Anthem.
Speakers include: Bannon, Sam Faddis, Debbie Dooley (Co-founder of the National Tea Party from Georgia), Rep. Mark Finchem from Arizona (who is running for Secretary of State in Arizona), Rick Crump of Kinetic Faith, Tabitha Valleau from Free Pa., and Leah Hoops, as well as others.
“These people are dynamic speakers,” said McLinko. “This is the first type of rally in Pennsylvania and we hope it spawns more events.”
There will be food available for purchase, event security, and patriotic music by song writer and music artist Donnie Malliband.
Lawn chairs are not needed but recommended to bring, however there is lots of seating.
“We invite everyone in Bradford County, if you have concerns with last year’s election, I don’t care what party you’re from - come,” said McLinko.
Mclinko also pointed out that the Bradford county election was done correctly, but rather, it comes down to a hand full of other counties that the questions arise from.
Rally at the Rock
Now in its fifth year, Rally at the Rock is a premier Republican event for Pennsylvania for Republicans to gather and promote fellowship, meet candidates, talk politics and socialize.
“Congressional candidates, US Senate, congressmen and more are expected to attend,” said McLinko. “The day isn’t about them, it’s about the people that work for them.”
Republican activists from northeast and central Pennsylvania will be attending the event.
Among those that have confirmed their attendance at this event are: Congressman Lou Barletta, PA State Treasurer Stacy Garrity, Former US Ambassador and potential candidate for US Senate Carla Sands, Former US Attorney and prospective gubernatorial candidate William McSwain, Congressman Dan Meuser, Gubernatorial candidate Dr. Nche Zama who is used to be the Chief of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Guthrie right here in Bradford County, State Senator Dan Laughlin and so many more.
“If the community wants to meet these people and find out what they’re about, how they’re going to affect us at the local level, this is the day to come,” said McLinko. “Our state Republicans such as Lawrence Tabis (event sponsor), will be present, as well as Krystal Bristol out of Troy.”
The Bradford County Dairy Princess will be giving out free ice cream.
There will also be a shooting range and Civil War memorabilia and re-enactors with cannons.
“It’s really a tremendous day,” said McLinko. “If you like Trump, we are your people, but it’s (the day) not really about the former president as much as about your state and local people. We raise money for all these people that work so hard for our local candidates to enjoy this day.”
Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be live music and a video board, as well as activities for children.
Please RSVP to this event at [email protected] or text/call 570-673-2232.
