“Due to some scheduling conflicts, Dan Falls from the American Legion will now be available to help area veterans with any questions they have regarding veterans benefits and programs on the fourth Tuesday of each month,” said Baker. “The next date he will be at the office is July 28. I encourage area veterans to take advantage of this convenient service.”
The services are offered each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Baker’s district office at 121 Canton St. in Troy. Anyone interested in speaking with the department service officer should call the Troy office at (570) 297-3045 to schedule an appointment.
Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.
