Day of Caring application; Annual Meeting– Saturday Sept 19, 2015 5:30 PM in the 4H Building on the Troy
Fair Grounds, public is invited; Upcoming 2016 mandatory background checks for volunteers helping with the
‘Farm Day’s 1866’ program; Fair week went well, the Museum was open an additional 2 days, 53 visitors plus one tour of 71 people;
Program. $18,000 to add to our current specified funds to build sidewalks joining the buildings in the Heritage Village. Work to start Monday Sept 21, 2015. And $12,500 to move Dr Campbell’s Office to the Village. Remaining funds coming from the Raffle. Raffle prizes on display at M.C. May Insurance in Troy, drawing during the Heritage Festival.
New business–
Roping off exhibits from visitors in the Carriage House; United Way Kick off Event Sept 21, Barb Barrett will attend; State wishes us to remove 2 Museum signs along state roads; Motion approved to find new homes for glass vases and metal picture frames.
Work B’s held through out the summer have been very productive. Thanks to all our volunteers who have devoted their time and talents. Work B projects included:
Scraping, painting and fixing windows of the Carriage House, as well as cleaning and rearranging some of the sleighs.
Moving of the Sugar House to the other side of the Inn to make room for the addition of Dr Campbell’s Office from East Smith Field.
Finishing touches on the Stage Coach.
Grounds and gardens upkeep. Our thanks to the Troy Heritage Garden club for their extra efforts as they prepared for their 20th anniversary tea/tour.
