The 5th Annual Museum Guide has been printed and we thank the 189 businesses who purchased an ad. Highlighting this year’s theme “Timber. The Guide includes Dave Lennington’s ‘A Glimpse into the Past, Bradford County’s Timber Industry’. ‘The Three B’s of Bradford County’, buckwheat, butter and boys, with a focus on the new Military Service Uniform display. A tribute to Becca Brown who chose our museum to achieve her Girl Scout Gold Award, both articles by Joie Brasington. ‘Troy Bank Murals Live On’ by Todd Boyles. ‘Farm Days 1866’ program Pennsylvania Museum’s Special Achievement Award and NRTA/PASR ‘With Our Youth’ Award and the Farmer Boy Book Scholarship program made possible by a Staples Foundation Grant.
Tour Bus Coordinator Barb Pulver and Deb Lutz manned our booth at the Pennsylvania Bus Marketplace on March 17 at the Valley Forge Convention Center. In its 27th year, this event brought together 24 bus companies, 900 community tour group leaders to ‘shop’ among the 140 vendors. Vendors reached out to shoppers offering a packet of promotional materials and a personal invitation to visit our museum and The Pennsylvania Heritage Festival September 19 & 20, 2015.

As we prepare for another season, the public is invited to participate at Work sessions, Wednesdays in April 9 AM-3PM, if you are interested please join us .
New and returning volunteers are invited to a Volunteer Recognition/Orientation. Saturday April 11, 11 AM-2 PM at the Museum (light lunch included) .
Efforts are underway to raise funds to re-locate and restore Dr Campbell’s office from
East Smithfield to The Heritage Village. Raffle tickets are available now through the Heritage Festival. $5 each or 3 for $10. Prizes include: a chain saw carved bench by Lynn Randall, maple syrup gift basket donated by Marty Roloson, full size afghan made by Margaret Winder, wooden tray crafted by Michael Eick, donated by Millie VanBlarcom, and hand made broom by Debbie Lutz. The prizes will be on display and tickets can be purchased at Gannon Associates MC Insurance, Canton St. Troy.
