Henry Ford is quoted as saying, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” And success is what happened on April 14, when Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc. (BTHS) staff teamed up with the River Valley Regional YMCA, Mansfield Branch Staff, Melissa Sentiff & Heather Stocum, North Penn / Mansfield High School students, Riley David and Curtis Craig, as well as several PA State Police Troopers and members of the Covington Baptist Church. All of these individuals came together to make support the Fresh Express program which ensures that families in Tioga County have access to fresh, nutritious food. Everyone helped by either unloading trucks, carrying containers of food, or preparing and delivering over 235 food boxes for Tioga County families. Thanks to all who volunteered for coming together. Without them, the mission of providing food assistance to families in need would not have been such a success. BTHS volunteers from left to right: Education Supervisor Joyce Dehaven, Bus Driver Marvin Hall, Canton Family Partner Jen Dinan, Administrative Assistant Shelley Focht and Elkland Family Advocate Erin Tomko.
