Bradford County has a rich Irish heritage with many of its early inhabitants coming to work on the North Brach Extension of the North Branch Canal built to connect Pennsylvania and New York State. The Irish continued to come to supply labor for each of the stages of growth that occurred in Bradford County. What better place to celebrate the heritage of the Irish than at the County Museum.
The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with plenty of food to include the Societies famous Potato Soup and libations. Irish music will be playing throughout the evening to keep your feet tapping and there will be door prizes.
Guests will be able to tour the museum where story boards of local Irish history will be displayed. Plan to spend the evening of Saint Patrick’s Day at the Bradford County Museum joining other local residents celebrating this segment of our rich heritage.
Tickets for this event are available at the museum or from any board member. Tickets can also be purchased on the Museum website bradfordhistory.com.
The Bradford County Historical Society is a recipient agency of the Bradford County United Way.
