Residents’ discards will be picked up at the curb by the Canton Borough Street Department. Canton Borough assumes no responsibility if your discards are removed from the curb prior to being picked up by the Borough.
The fee for a truck load will be $40. You must register with and pay Amy Seeley, Canton Borough Administrator, at the Canton Borough Office, 4 North Center Street before your discards will be picked up. Absolutely no payments can or will be accepted by the street department from residents at their homes.
If you have appliances which have Freon in them, there is an additional $5 per appliance.
All discards have to be paid for and placed curbside by Thursday, June 11. No payments will be accepted after that date. No household garbage, tires or paint cans will be accepted.
Computer & Electronics Drop off Day will be at the Canton Borough Street Shed, 75 Park Place, Canton, on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This event is hosted by Canton Borough to dispose of obsolete electronic equipment free of charge in an environmentally safe way.
Only the following items will be accepted: Personal Computers (Cpu, Monitors, Keyboards, Mice, And Peripherals), Printers, Printed Circuit Boards, Laptops , DVD Players, Electric Typewriters, Fax Machines, Hard Drives, Mobile (Cell) Phones, Modems , Pagers, PDAs, VCRs, Word Processors.
No Televisions will be accepted!
We solely reserve the right to refuse or reject any items brought in for drop off. Drop offs are restricted to the date, time and items listed.
