Passion Life Wellness is scheduling workshops, fitness classes, martial arts, massages, acupuncture and other personal improvement classes.
The Canton Independent-Sentinel is working on its new website and hopes to have it up and running by next month.
The Missoula Children's Theatre will be coming to Canton at the end of February, with auditions on February 23 and performances on February 28.
The Rialto Theatre will have a Film Festival on the end of February into March, with such films as Wild, Selma, and The Theory of Everything.
"Thursdays at the Rialto" will feature "Kilrush" and "Nightlife on the Susquehanna" will feature Marc Berger and RIDE on Saturday, February 14 at 7:30 at the Keystone Theatre.
First Citizens Community Bank has opened a new office in Mill Hall, and Heidi Monro, an employee in the Canton Branch, received her 10 year service award.
BTG has become a member of the Chamber and offered to help with the Chamber website.
Animal Care Sanctuary is making preparations for the Mutt Strut in Sayre in May. Vendors and sponsors are needed, and people are encouraged to bring their dogs to the Mutt Strut.
Schoonover Plumbing & Heating said "we are looking for spring. It is closer than we think!"
The Ministerial Association is preparing a schedule for the Lenten Luncheons.
Wiggle Radio is promoting a "Win A Date with Shane Wilber" for Valentine'sDay.
Oscar's Flooring also will become a member of the Chamber and owner Jen Malehorn is developing a design and marketing firm known as Jenny Mae
ProCare is working on ideas for community health screenings.
A special guest was Alan Shaw, candidate for Judge in Bradford County. He is seeking nomination to the seat vacated by Judge Jeffrey Smith, who retired. (see article in next week's paper).
The minutes of the previous meeting and the treasurer's report were approved.
So far sixty-four members have enrolled in the Chamber for 2015.
Mr. Schoonover said that members should try to encourage others to become members of the Chamber.
Membership packets will be sent out shortly, This will include a list of membership benefits.
Breanna Allen worked up a sample of a chamber brochure which was reviewed by the members.
The budget committee met and is putting finishing touches on a 2015 budget.
The next big Chamber event will be the Bridal Expo, which will be held February 21 from 9 am to 7 pm at the Canton High School gym. (see article on Page Three)
The 2015 event calendar is being prepared. The Block Dance will be June 13 in Canton's Main Square with music by the McNett Country band.
Mr. Schoonover is working on upgrades to the Chamber website and it will "go live" as soon as possible.
Plans are being made to have a joint mixer with the Troy Chamber of Commerce and other Chambers. Jen Malehorn said his will expose local businesses to a wider market and also remind the rest of the county that Canton and Troy are part of Bradford County.
It is hoped that the next in the "Chamber Stoneware" series will be suitable for flower arrangements so there can be tie-ins with Stull's for this use.
Plans are being made for a regular Chamber spotlight column in the Independent-Sentinel.
