The program scheduled for May was to tour the LeRoy Museum, but was cancelled due to renovations.
The meeting was called to order by President Marie O'Hara with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Collect.
Since the April meeting was cancelled because of illness, the minutes of the March meeting were read by Recording Secretary Kathie Lepper and approved.
Jackie Spencer gave the treasury report which was also approved.
All members are presently working on the "Chinese Auction on the Go", chaired by Sherry Lambert. Tickets were on sale with drawing on May 23 at McCallum Manor at 7 p.m. with tickets being sold up to that time. The public is invited for the drawing and cookies and beverages will be offered for refreshments. In case of rain, Saturday sale will be in Chemung Canal Bank.
New business: Jeannette May discussed the Mile of Pennies happening in June. Tentative plans are in the works for that event, which supports the Canton War Memorial Pool.
In matters of sickness and distress, a care was sent to Leon English who has been ill.
Veteran banners was discussed during the meeting and Karen Clark agreed to look into that matter.
President O'Hara adjourned the meeting and since there wasn't a program, members went to Flavorland for lunch.
The June meeting will consist of the Association's annual picnic at McCallum Manor.
