TROY — The Troy Sale Barn Operating Corporation is pleased to announce their annual Archery League on Wednesdays, starting this Wednesday, Jan. 26, continuing through March 30 at the Troy Sale Barn, located at 50 Ballard Street, Troy, from 6-8 p.m.
Shooting fee donations are as follow: Ages 16 & up, $10; Youth, age 15 and below, $5. Shooters will shoot 10 rounds of 3 arrows each.
Gift cards from Up in Arms Shooting Supplies in East Smithfield will be given as prizes for best scores and most improved shooters in adult & youth categories at the end of the season.
The targets, arrow curtains, bow rack and other equipment were funded through a $5,000 donation from Chief Oil & Gas. There are also a limited number of Mathews Genesis compound bows available for beginning shooters to use, funded through a grant from the Friends of the NRA. The Troy Sale Barn Operating Corporation has also donated 3D targets for the shooters to use! Our archery range is also used by the National Archery in the Schools Program by Troy High School students afterschool on Wednesdays, so we have put our equipment to good use!
In order to participate, participants must sign a waiver. Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase.
