There were 70 students, 3 staff, 3 Grandmaʼs from the Foster Grandparent program and 5 guest Artists who worked together to make the week a success. Each day students had a focus group in Visual Art, Music and Dance/Movement. Some of the projects in Art were a painting class, tie-dyeing a scarf and building a structure through careful planning and working together. In music class the students used 5 gallon buckets for a bucket drumming lesson, did dance and songs from other countries, discovered boomwhackers and created a melody by using mason jars filled with water at different levels, then added food coloring to relate each jar as a different tone. In dance, students did improvisation, line dances, dance games and also had the opportunity to do hip hop.
