The Canton Farmers' Market had six vendors on September 5. It was a cloudy day but very pleasant.
John Carpenter had Piatt Road Honey; Marlene Boyce had raspberries, Kenny Biggs and his family sold goodies to raise funds for an educational trip to Mexico; The ladies from Country Delights had bread and baked goods and an abundance of garden produce; Gloria Molyneux had zucchini baked goods and homemade crafts; and there was one new vendor - Ray Chaapel had tomatoes and beets from his garden.
The Farmers' Market will return September 12 from 8 am to noon in Canton's Main St. Park. People with baked goods, garden or farm produce, craft items or similar wares are invited to set up. There is no booth fee. Call 570-673-5151 for information.
No yard sale items, please. The Farmers' Market is sponsored by the Canton Area Chamber of Commerce.
