Visitors’ weekend will be July 18-19 10 am - 4 pm; during this weekend only, visitors will be allowed to walk through the camp and view the activities taking place. There will also be a Trader’s Row where visitors have the opportunity to purchase some primitive goodies! Trader’s Row will be open to the public throughout the period of July 18 – July 25 from 10 am to 4 pm. Tours of the LaPorte House Museum will be available on the hour each day.
During the entire 2015 season there is a period clothing display throughout the LaPorte House Museum. Each room features different themes. The clothing represents clothing that would have been worn by the residents at Azilum. Visitors will get a pamphlet that explains the different types of clothing and the purpose of each article. This display enhances the historic treasures in the house.
