The bereavement support camp is held at the Vesper Church Spiritual Life Center in Standing Stone in Bradford County, Pa. The focus of the camp is to help children with grief and bereavement through play, art, music and activities.
“Every year’s camp experience has been a great success and very rewarding,” echoes Pat Kirkowski, camp leader. “We knew we wanted to keep offering it to the community.”
There is no fee for the Good Grief Day Camp. The camp is supported by the efforts of Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital, Guthrie Hospice and Bradford County’s Human Service Development Fund. Pre-registration is necessary by June 12. For more information or to register, please call Pat Kirkowski at (570) 265-2525 or Trudy Ventello at Guthrie Hospice at (570) 265-8615.
