A large crowd came along to the annual concert and ice cream social which saw performances by local singers Ike Bowers and Lynn Moyer. Concert goers enjoyed hot dogs and sloppy joes, as well as homemade pies and ice cream.
The Auxiliary would like to thank the community for its support as well as our entertainers, Ike Bowers and Lynn Moyer, Bob Brenner, Ike’s assistant; Dale Abbot, who generously gave of his time to manage the sound system; the Copper Tree Shop; Tops Markets; the Leona Meat Plant; and the First Baptist Church of Troy that was the back-up venue in the event of inclement weather. George Baron deserves a big thank-you for once again being the “grill sergeant.” A huge thank-you also goes out to the Guthrie Troy Community Hospital maintenance department for all of their help behind the scenes and in advance of the concert. Without the many donations and help of these organizations and people, events like this one would not be possible.
