Message From a Mom

Remember in the beginning of Covid? We were all unsure what the future had to hold. We were all scared, our lives turned upside down. There were many unanswered questions. Yet, PEOPLE WERE KIND; PEOPLE WERE CARING FOR ONE ANOTHER. They sent notes “just because.” They paid for others’ Dunkin Donuts. They checked in on each other; they made masks for each other.
Just 2 months later, we are STILL in the middle of a pandemic. We know better now, so we should be doing better. Our teachers are kicking ass at something they did not sign up for. Our Healthcare workers have seen more sickness and broken hearts than they should ever have to see; but, they continue to go to work everyday to keep us safe. Parents, we are just finishing out a school year that we did not plan on hosting in our homes, at our kitchen table. We killed it! Don’t forget, we STILL need each other. We STILL need to be kind to each other.
I have seen more conspiracy theories than I can shake a stick at. They are just random people stirring the pot, inviting more fear, hate and distrust into this already broken country. The numbers are real! Just stop and focus on the well being of others. Think about your family. I’m sure your “haves” far out way your “have nots.”
WEAR YOUR MASK. I have a baby that can not wear a mask yet. So wear yours for his sake. Wear your mask for your neighbor that has cancer, for your friend that has another condition that puts them at higher risk. Your wearing a mask, is not going to be the end of the world. If you don’t wear it, it could be the end of someone else’s.
PLEASE!! Think of others. Stay kind. Keep each other safe.
