Visitor Matthew LaBadie of Boy Scout Troop 449 has chosen the Museum to complete his Community Service Merit Badge.
The Museum will be open regular hours Tue through Saturday during Troy Fair Week. ‘Bessie’ our life size fiberglass ‘milking cow’ will be educating children in the 4-H building at the fair.
Mountain Home magazine recently visited the Museum for an article in an upcoming issue.
Joanadele Collins will present a Flax demonstration at the annual Bradford County Senior Picnic on July 25.
Fund raising is currently underway to relocate and restore Dr. William Campbell’s office from East Smithfield to the Heritage Village. The raffle prizes of a chain saw carved wooden bench, (Lynn Randall); hand crafted wooden tray (Michael Eick, donated by Millie VanBlarcom); full size crocheted afghan (Margaret Winder) Maple products gift basket (Marty Roloson) hand made broom (Debbie Lutz) the items are currently on display and tickets can be obtained at MC Insurance, (Canton St. Troy).
The work B’s have been very productive and will continue on scheduled Thursdays through out the summer. We will be scraping and painting the Carriage House. Other business included updates and discussions Re: publicity, Work B projects, tours, teas, Gift Shop merchandise, Web activity, Committee reports, 2015 Timber Theme and Heritage Festival updates .
The Museum is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday 9 AM– 4PM, Sunday 1-4 PM until Oct. 31.
The next meeting will be July 15, 6 PM at the Museum, the public is invited.
