These perennials from the Master Gardeners’ own gardens have the advantage of being acclimated to the area because they came from the garden “around the corner.” The gardeners who grew the perennials will be on hand to describe the plant size, shape, color and which plants work well together.
“We can recommend plants for a path, a bank, an island plot; plants for containers, window boxes, and plants for trellises. We do have proof in the perennials we grow in our own gardens. We stand by our plants!” state the Master Gardeners.
Among the hundreds of perennials will be campanula, helenium or Helen’s flower, purple coneflowers, hosta, poppies; a wide selection of day lilies, anthemis, artemisia or wormwood, pulmonaria, lupine, white phlox, cranesbill geranium, the list goes on and on.
There will be a limited number of kitchen garden herbs such as oregano, chives, and lemon balm which will enhance your cooking for years. There will be vegetable starts as well.
In addition PSU soil test kits will be for sale. Interested in learning more about the Master Gardener program? Applications will be available. Join the gardeners for “classes:” pick up a list of free public classes held on the 3rd Tuesdays (6:15 p.m.)from May to September, at listed locations on the brochure.
New this year: UNIFORM PRICING ($4 per 6in. pot) encourages the buyer to try combinations and experiment at no risk because these beautiful low maintenance plants have been grown successfully in the area.
