The Bradford County Library presents Matthew Carl, Manager and Curator at the Bradford County Historical Society, discussing "Remarkable Women of Bradford County" on Thursday, March 26, at 6:00 p.m.
Bradford County history books written in the late 1800’s are filled with the stories and accomplishments of a long list of men. But what about the outstanding women who made Bradford County their home? This program will discuss women from all over the county who led remarkable lives. Some of the women to be included in the program are Alice C. Evans, Mary Mitten, Jane Delano, Louise Welles Murray, Dawes Markwell, Hila Mills, and others.
