The Small Business ImPAct Award, one of five Governor's ImPAct awards given to businesses in each of the 10 PREP regions, recognizes a small business that has been an industry innovator, demonstrated revenue/profit growth, increased its workforce, and committed to the growth and development of employees and the community.
We are honored to be recognized among Pennsylvania's many small business owners. We have recommitted ourselves to investing in improvements that will enhance our quality, reliability and customer satisfaction. From the recent completion of the 5S quality program and addition of new ERP software to our improved R&D and engineering capabilities, we have gone the extra mile to manufacture American-made products you can trust.
We'd like to extend our heartfelt thank you to our customers and partners! We owe much of our success to your continued business and support over the years.

Since 1959, Penn-Troy has been a leading manufacturer in the water/wastewater and explosion relief valve industries. Under the leadership of Mark Powers, the company encourages its more than 30 employees to actively participate in improving products and paving the way for innovation. The company’s recent efforts to expand into the government and foreign market sectors spiked a 25% increase in sales from 2013 to 2014.
“ We’re proud to support the economic development of Pennsylvania, and our nation, through our firm commitment to American manufacturing,” said Mark Powers, President. “As a family-owned and operated business, we value quality, reliability and customer service above all else, and are honored to be recognized for those values.”
The Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP) network nominated Penn-Troy for the Governor’s ImPAct Award. These partners work together to deliver vital economic development services across the state. Each of the ten PREP regions nominated up to five companies in five different categories: Community ImPAct, Entrepreneur ImPAct, Jobs that Pay ImPAct, and Small Business ImPAct. An independent panel of judges selected the winners.
The Governor’s ImPAct awards were launched in 2013 by the Team Pennsylvania Foundation and PA Department of Community & Economic Development to celebrate the success of companies and individuals investing in PA and creating jobs that pay.
