This is the 25th Anniversary of that program’s inception and Mr. Chris Williams (retired Deputy Head of School at Lincoln – 21 year tenure) is engaged in developing a written record of this exchange for the school’s archives.
In his retirement he is responsible for the archival entries from 1974 to the present. His first work focuses solely on the initial exchange from 1989/1990.
Future exchanges after that date will be archived at a later date. I have been asked to assist in this effort from the US perspective, so if any former students, staff or community members have pictures or memories of that first exchange, and would like to share them, please email Mr. Williams at [email protected] and if you would please cc [email protected] Once again, this request concerns that first exchange (’88 -’89). The following students were on that first exchange:
CHS host students: Angie Ameigh, Melony Cohick, Zeke Downy, Eary Feiock, Travis Fitch, Tanya Hamm, Danielle Krause, Carrie May, Jennifer Pepper, Stacy Reed, Misty Scott, Stacey Segur, Jeremy Spencer, Pam Stiner, Tracy Woodward, Stephanie Wooster, Sharla Wright
LCHS students: Colin Alexander, Sally Bullimore, Jonathan Cox, Jane Curbishley, Tina Davis, Fraser Dingley, Lynne Howden, Jonathan Hughes, Roger Hutchison, Treena Lambert, Joanne Lloyd, Tom Reeve, Fleur Richardson, Fiona Robinson, Nicola Turner, Nicola J Turner and Ann Wilkinson
There is currently a tab on the school’s website, entitled “LCHS History”, which will house this record (1989) and future records of the exchange between the schools of Lincoln (England), Canton (USA) and Hattingen (Germany). The website appears below:
