CANTON — The Canton Area School District voted in their 2022 board member chairs at their Dec. 2 meeting.
Board member Denny Sourbeer made a motion to keep the same officers in place for the upcoming year. Ryan Allen seconded and it was approved.
Public comment
The school board heard from resident Dale Kurtz who asked the board when board member Gary Black would be replaced. He noted that Black has allegedly missed more than two meetings, which would make his seat up for vacancy.
Solicitor Cassi Blaney said she would double check the policy, but she thinks the policy says shall remove (if they wish), not may.
Kurtz also asked why he never received a reply from the board members he emailed and noted that he would like a reply.
