It is astonishing how certain human bonds are able to transcend time and place. Families can be remarkable in how they connect and bond. At the same time it is lamentable that many people are unable to experience their families. What are you bonded too? Come and feel the experience of belonging. Bernard Jurkowski attends Wellsboro and Mansfield Grower’s Markets.
When customers at the local Growers Markets rave about the goats cheese products that Virginia (who goes by her middle name, Carol) and Bernard Jurkowski produce, it becomes clear that Bernard Jurkowski started out as a chef. From an early age, he enjoyed making food. However, family obligations pulled him into joining his father’s metal working shop, and he eventually opened his own metal working shop, which evolved into a general contracting business. Meanwhile, Carol Jurkowski was raising their 5 children, Bernie, Sherrie, Kim, Chrissie, and Brian. In 1990, they bought a farm near Alba, PA, between Canton and Troy, and moved to it permanently in 1993. Their children had participated in 4-H with goats prior to the move, so when they opened their business, “Inn to the Seasons Specialty” in 2004, the goat herd was well established. |
