Promoting the arts and humanities is an important part of Rekindle the Spirit’s mission and with that in mind, the Arts & Humanities committee this year is providing a wide variety of programs and activities. All activities will be held at the beautiful Manley-Bohlayer Farm unless otherwise stated. The farm is located in the Endless Mountains at 141 East Canton Cross Road just off Route 414 and 3 miles east of Canton PA. • Adult Photography Workshop with John Matoon of B&C Photo in Elmira, NY on Wednesday, April 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m. There is a $10.00 class fee, payable in advance. • Wine & Design on Friday, April 17, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Come to the studio at the Manley-Bohlayer to sip your favorite BYOB wine while being taught step by step, how to paint a masterpiece by a passionate local artist. This is a fun filled 2-hour painting party with all your supplies included, even snacks! There is a $20.00 fee and pre-registration is required at www.wineanddesign.com. • Stonewall History and Construction by Ken Ely on Saturday, April 25. Since 1996, Ken Ely has owned Good Neighbor Walls and he is in frequent demand for projects and presentations across Pennsylvania and Southern New York. This free workshop will consist of two parts: The a.m. session will be a slide show and presentation of the history and styles of stonewalls in northern Pennsylvania. Participants who participated in the a.m. session (or one of Ken Ely’s other presentations) may participate in the afternoon session which will be a hands-on class in building a stonewall.
