Ms Chamberlain received great praise from all involved.
The Tourism and Promotion Agency is funded by the room taxes which are levied.
As director, Ms. Chamberlain, who formerly worked at State Farm in Troy, will receive a salary of $45,000 and started her new job on June 26
Previously she has worked for a marketing firm, before becoming owner of her own marketing firm.
She is also a member of the Troy Fair Board, Rialto Theatre's Advisory Committee, and is vice president of the Troy Lions Club; and Vice President of the Troy Chamber of Commerce.
Among the tasks Robyn will perform will be attracting tourism, placing ads; lead a committee of tourism and promotion and search for grant monies.
The agency is now looking for volunteers to work in the office, where they would perform tasks such as answering phones and doing mailings.
