The project includes microsurfacing, installation of rumble strips and placement of pavement markings.
Work will be on two sections of Route 220, including:
A 2.5-mile section from just north of Old Rt. 220 (T-314) in Laporte Township, Sullivan County, to just south of Main Street in Laporte Borough, Sullivan County.
A 1.5-mile section from just south of Shearer Road in Cherry Township, Sullivan County, to just north of the Bradford County line.
Traffic will be maintained by daylight flagging operations.
All work is scheduled to be completed by mid-August. Vestal Asphalt, Inc., is the prime contractor on this $219,000 project.
