A total of 54 super readers earned an invitation to this event. The heroes were briefed about everyday heroes who rescue animals, raise bunnies as pets using their hair to create super soft garments, and raise nutritious, organic food for us to consume for the energy needed to continue their heroic work.
On Saturday, August 8th a secret super hero meeting was held. Invitees received a summons to the meeting after accomplishing their mission of reading at least 10 hours during Allen F. Pierce Free Library, Bradford County Library, and Monroeton Public Library’s summer reading program. A total of 54 super readers earned an invitation to this event. The heroes were briefed about everyday heroes who rescue animals, raise bunnies as pets using their hair to create super soft garments, and raise nutritious, organic food for us to consume for the energy needed to continue their heroic work. Super readers were treated to face painting by Kay Barrett and Gabrielle Fish. The staff at all three libraries would like to thank Farmer Fred, Gabrielle Fish, Amanda Doan-Butler, and Kelsey Camp-Woodruff with Beloved Bunnies from Wyalusing for acting as reliable consultants for this meeting. Spies will be on the lookout to catch super readers continuing their reading missions in the future
