President of Council Krystle Bristol thanked everyone for coming to this rescheduled meeting.
The item of business after the minutes and approval of bills to be paid, was to accept, with regret, the resignation of office Michael Northrup.
In his letter he expressed gratitude for the 12 years of service to the Troy community and to the members of council. He was sorry that he had to resign, but he sought employment elsewhere.
Police Chief Morelli recommended that Nick Madigan be hired as a part time officer. Mr. Madigan has been retired from the State Police Force for four months. He also recommended Mark Colton, but he was not hired at this time.
The Chief also reported that he is happy in his new job and that he has been pleasantly impressed in the decrease of speeding in the school zone and around town.
Chief Morelli noted that he has seen an increase in identity theft and confrontations in school and burglaries. He hopes to get out more and talk to the people in town and business owners. He feels that talking to the community helps solve crimes.
Manager Dan Close noted that the LVR grant has been submitted and borough council gave the administration the power to accept the best bid on the Eureka Bridge project and Main Street project.
Jack Hulslander raised an issue about a matter that occurred several years ago.
