Dept. 23 Honey-Maple will register exhibits from 9 am until 3 pm. Judging begins at 5 pm. The exhibits will remain until Sunday, August 2, 9-2 pm when exhibitors come to collect their ribbons, prize money, and congratulations.
Exhibitors are reminded to consult the Troy Fair book for the number of items required for each entry. The correct number which is necessary for judging, may vary for each class. For example, five green beans, two heads of garlic, three tomatoes.
The adult division is for exhibitors 17 years and older. The junior division is for exhibitors 16 years and under. Cash premiums are the same for senior and junior divisions. Gardeners are reminded that Class 26 for the Most Unusually Shaped Vegetable, and Class 26a for the Best Vegetable Art or Craft Item receive the same premiums/prizes for Senior and Junior divisions. Class 27 Market Basket requires 5 or more vegetables. All exhibits remain on display until Sunday, August 2, 9-2 pm.
The Vegetable-Herb and the Honey-Maple exhibits offers gardeners , beekeepers and maple producers an opportunity to showcase the best of Bradford County produce tended by young and old. The decades old tradition of displaying the bounty and celebrating the growers is proudly continued at the 140th Troy Fair (July 27 to August 1, 2015).
