The program for March was to have been John Kern demonstrating his wood carving skills, but since he was unable to, members plan to have Mr. Kern visit another time.
President Marie O'Hara opened the meeting with the Association Collect followed by the minutes of the December meeting by Recording secretary Kathie Lepper. They were approved as read. Jackie Spencer gave the treasurer's report for Sherrie Lambert who was absent due to illness.
A productive meeting followed with plans being formulated for the Chinese Auction in May. The members will be working on that.
Thank you notes were sent to the American Legion and the V.F.W. for their very generous monetary gifts to the VIA.
A motion was made by Kathie Lepper to move the January and February meeting dates to the months of July and August in order to avoid the winter weather. Shirley Esaias seconded and the motion was approved.
President O'Hara adjourned the meeting and the members enjoyed their lunch.
The April VIA meeting will be at the Mitchell House in Troy. The program will be hosted by President Marie O'Hara and will be a tea and some history of the house.
