The owner explained that there was a lot of blood outside of the window and he believed someone may have punched it.
Police made contact with the owner's wife and daughter in front of the restaurant. The daughter told police that her father and brother were following the blood trail up the sidewalk. Canton Police immediately noticed several spots of blood and also began to follow them all the way to the intersection of N. Center Street and Tioga Street and onto the back porch of 233 N. Center Street.
Police looked in the window and observed Jolene Mattocks, who was sitting "Indian-style" with blood running down her arm, breast feeding her child. Also observed was a male with blood running down his face.
The incident is under investigation and charges are pending.
