The following wineries will participate in the festival: Sand Castle Winery of Erwinna, Bastress Mountain Winery of South Williamsport, Laddsburg Mountain Winery of New Albany, Grovedale Winery of Wyalusing, Antler Ridge Winery of Rome, Courtyard Winery of North East, Pickering Winery of Wysox, Fero Vinyards and Winery of Lewisburg, Capra Collina Winery of Jessup, Buddy Boy Winery and Vinyard of Duncannon and Timber Ridge Winery of Canton. Sand Castle Winery and Bastress Mountain Winery have both participated in the Pennsylvania Apple ‘n Cheese Festival for the past several years.
“I am confident that everyone who attends this festival will find something to love,” said committee member Angie Schoonover. “Our wineries bring a variety of sweet and dry wines to please even the most picky pallets.”
There will be continuous live entertainment, foods, crafts and artisan booths as well as blacksmith demonstrations and sales. The historic village area of the Manley-Bohlayer Farm will also be open.
The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 27, 2015. The event will be held at the Manley-Bohlayer Heritage Farm in Canton, PA, the home of the Pennsylvania Apple & Cheese Festival, located at 141 East Canton Cross Road.
Tickets are on sale at the following businesses: the Canton, Troy and Towanda branches of Chemung Canal Trust Co., the Canton and Troy branches of First Citizens Community Bank, the Mansfield office of Gannon Associates, Country Ski & Sports in Wellsboro, the Canton Independent-Sentinel, and the Canton Borough Office. Tickets purchased at these locations will be $12, a $3 savings over tickets purchased at the gate on the day of the festival.
Admission to the festival includes wine tasting and a tasting glass. All those who wish to participate in wine tasting must bring proper photo identification. Tickets for designated drivers and attendees under the age of 21 will be $5. These tickets do not include alcohol tasting and do not permit the ticket holder to purchase alcohol. No pets will be permitted on the field and the committee asks that visitors please not leave their pets in their cars during the festival.
