Shirley Ann Finnerty was born February 10, 1936 in Bradford County, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Isabelle) Finnerty.
She was a member of Troy High School’s graduating class of 1954 and was their Homecoming Queen and a cheerleader. Shirley possessed a strong work ethic and enjoyed being busy with a new interest or a project all her life. She was employed at Troy’s American Silk Company for over 30 years and later enjoyed her work as a caregiver at Futures Community Support Services and as a home health aide.
Shirley was a semi pro bowler. She was honored and inducted into Troy’s Terrace Lanes Bowling Hall of Fame and enjoyed traveling to many events. Shirley also especially enjoyed lunch with her dearest friend, Jeannie Duart; trips to Tioga Downs Casino and playing Euchre and Thirteen card games with family and friends.
