Miss Ashlee Groover, Santee, CA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tod Groover, granddaughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Richard Groover, Ogdensburg and great granddaughter of Ruby Hansell and Frances Groover, both from the area, has joined the Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh softball team. Ashlee will join RMU right out of junior college and will have three years of eligibility remaining. The infielder complied a .381 on-base percentage in her one season at Southwestern while making just a single error, posting a .988 fielding percentage in the process. She helped the Jaguars win the Goldenwest Tournament in earlier this year, and earned All-Tournament Team honors as a result. Chemung Canal Trust Co.

This past week the men bowled three 700 series, the women bowled one 600 series, and the youth bowled one 600 series and one 500 series. My condolences to Bill Ellsworth and family on the passing of his father this past week. And I say a special prayer to them as well as if you recall he lost his mom a few weeks ago! Adirondack Rivalry Renewed - Friday, October 16 On Saturday, September 26, 2015 David Atherton-Ely and his wife, Niki, will be opening their archery shop located at 8795 Southside Road, Canton, PA (Leroy Twp). They will be offering bows and archery equipment for sale, along with general archery repair and other services. David and Niki are long-time residents of the area and have been extremely involved in archery for many years. Hours in the beginning will be limited due to other employment. However, as David states, “we are hoping to assume a more regular schedule as time progresses and also plan to expand. We are very excited about this new venture and sincerely hope our neighbors, friends and residents of our community and outlying area will stop by and say hello."
