![]() First Citizens Community Bank recently honored their employees at their bi-annual winter party held at the Corning Radisson on January 31.
Based on the success of last year’s Mishmosh tour, we will continue this new tradition for years to come. We hope you will come out and see how local farms are making improvement on their farms, and helping the environment at the same time. This year’s event will take place at three different operations in the Canton area. We will be showcasing a number of different improvements that the farms have implemented. We will have a special bonus this year in that we will be able to look at some of the equipment one area farmer uses to custom harvest forages and spread manure.
The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers (CFTT) is seeking applicants for a variety of scholarships.
Troy Lions Club Huck Scholarship Fund now has a $1,500 scholarship available to any Troy High School senior that has been accepted into an accredited institution of higher education in the United States. Graduate must be the first from their family going into college. If a student is interested in applying, they should contact the Troy High School, Guidance Department. Deadline to is April 17th. Dr. Seuss once said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Perhaps that is why children worldwide love to read his books and why teachers and parents celebrate his birthday with week-long celebrations!
These candidates have filed petitions to be placed on the May 19 primary election ballot in Bradford County.
County Offices: Are you interested in serving the dairy industry and promoting healthy, delicious products? If so join us April 12th from 2-4 pm at the Residence of Erin Cole, 563 Snowdrift Road Columbia Crossroads, PA for a “Dairy Princess Tea” to learn more about the Bradford County Dairy Princess Program.
In 1990, under the direction of President Melody Kitchen, the PTA began raising funds to build our present primary playground. The playground has been used by students at recess as well as by the community. The wooden structure, now twenty-one years old, is starting to show its age. The warping of boards, increasing risk of splinters, and exposure of hardware has raised concerns about the safety of the structure for continued use.
Troy TOPS #986 met on March 16th at the Troy Vets Club with thirteen members and one guest weighing in. Total loss was 9 3/4 pounds: 8 1/2 for TOPS and 1 1/4 for KOPS. There were 3 turtles.
